Little helpers

Casey was doing the dishes and Max asked if he could help. they all want to help - makes them feel big. i feel like i should enjoy that - they may grow up someday and what if they don't want to be like me any more, or be with me 24/7 - or, you know, directly under my feet as the case may be :)..enjoy it while it lasts. but i took this picture because i thought, what a great thing my husband is teaching his son.

Sam likes to make you laugh - and he does this cheese face on demand. the kids feed into it, cracks us all up.. makes his cheeks so tight you think they might pop!

A mom thing

You've heard the phrase "a face only a mother could love".. i get that, cuz man my kids are cute. i'm sure they all say that, but i love those blue eyes - so many similarities, but still very much their own little identities.. even this young. Sam has a crazy bunch of curls up there and some freckles already (I'm sure there are more to follow) and Lucy's hair has more of a wave with her dad's face shape. don't think anyone else would be so fascinated to sit and stare at them.. it's a mom thing.
